Holiday Inn Ciudad Del Carmen, an IHG Hotel

The staff! My car broke down when I tried to leave, and they went way beyond the call of duty, to help me out during this stressful event. In fact, Anely at the front desk brought in her mechanic boyfriend to help me get my car started when other mechanics I’d paid for failed to fix the issue. These new mechanics refused to let me pay (who does that, in this day and age?!). Throughout all of this the terrific, baggage handlers, where amazing too! My car was packed to the nines, with cats and personal items, and they emptied, and repacked everything up, over and over again. muchos gracias 🤗🥰

The swimming pool courtyard area is actually very beautiful and has many outdoor seating and tables that allowed us to bring in food from outside and sit comfortably. This was a quick stop over on a road trip and was sufficient in every way.

Hotel is close to the airport and I believe they offer a free shuttle.

The bed felt very luxurious & comfortable. We had the air conditioning set quite cool so we could enjoy the big, warm duvet. There were two of each soft & firm pillows. Lots of water pressure in the shower. We opted for breakfast included & were pleased with the options. The hotel & staff maintained good strict covid protocols, & we felt safe.
